D arkHorse Taekwondo senior classes combine the skills and knowledge of Traditional Martial Arts with the dynamic Olympic combat sport of Taekwondo. You will improve your flexibility, cardiovascular fitness, balance and co-ordination. You will also benefit from learning how best to defend yourself and manage the many stresses in your life. 

A s a member of the senior class you will learn and develop the following Martial Arts skills: 

  • Kicking techniques  
  • Striking and blocking techniques  
  • Step sparring  
  • Continuous sparring  
  • Realistic self defense  
  • Patterns  

Senior classes also incorporate Olympic style training  methods, including:  

  • Focus mitt kicking  
  • Kick bag drills  
  • Light and semi contact sparring  
  • Full contact sparring (optional)  
  • Offensive and defensive kicking drills
